Content collection for the September event

The inbetween the radio broadcasts stream

Thinking of a constant stream (that is interrupted by radioshows, when the wind tells us so –> pls see the concept of the Art Radio Event in September). The constant stream consists of the sound of wind recorded by participants.

!!!CALL FOR WIND RECORDINGS COLLECTED ON PADMA!!!

record the wind, or things moved by the wind, be creative in trying to catch audibly the uncatchable

<noiseart> another idea would be to run an mp3 stream that is generative static .. and that gets interrupted by the wind clock shows
<cuc0> or use padma as a base for generating the inbetween parts - take parts and mix them
<sparb> or just the sound of wind
<noiseart> it could be nice to a workshop on recording wind
<sparb> yop - wind is hard to record well!
<noiseart> i usually record the sound of leaves moving
<noiseart> or surf
<noiseart> but if there was a way to get a group of people to recpord wind for the project that would be cool
<sparb> in the desert it could be nice - but here are none..
<sparb> and the windclocks moving - but that is like leaves
<sparb> to make wind audible through something else

Linnaeus took the 12 months in this manner:
reviving winter (December 22 - March 19)
thawing (march 19 - april 12)
budding (april 12 - may 9)
leafing (may 9 - may 25)
flowering (may 25 - june 20)
fruiting (june 20 - july 12)
ripening (july 12 - august 4)
reaping (august 4- august 28)
sowing (august 28 - september 22)
shedding (september 22 - october 28)
freezing (october 28 - november 5)
dead winter (november 5 - december 22)

the months during the french revolution:
vendemaire, brumaire, frimaire, nivose, pluviose, ventose (!sic!),
germinal, floreal, paririal, messidor, thermidor, fructidor.

and an english joke on the style of the french calendar to call the months:
slippy, drippy, nippy, showery, flowery, bowery, hoppy, croppy, poppy,
wheezy, sneezy, freezy
